During Kanye West DJ set on NYE he spun a "212" from Azealia Banks..
In no time here youtube videos were gaining crazy views and I'm sure google was having a field day with her name. But besides a major co-sign in Kanye saying she is " the future of music" she also placed 3rd on BBCs who to watch in 2012.(Of which Frank Ocean was placed #1)
Knocking the Nicki comparisons:
“She’s only had one album, and she’s only been famous for a year, so she doesn’t have that big of a legacy for me to be the new her. She’s her and I’m me.”
As well as calling the likes of Kreayshawn out via twitter for her lack of talent and skills. (I appreciate that)
Previously working with producer DJ Diplo of Major Lazer and British producer Paul Epworth ( Adele, 21) their have also been rumors surfacing of her possible having signed to Kanye West's G.O.O.D music label.
I like the girls flow and sound, plus you hear the electro influence in the beats and hooks so I'm looking forward to what else will come from her.
